Scallops Fried Rice

This recipe is simple and quick to make when you have a long day after work or even just something that you can cook up easily  before curling over your sofa to watch your favorite TV show.

How To Make Scallops Fried Rice

Serves: 1 Prep Time: Cooking Time:


  • 6 pcs of medium sized scallops (keep 3 whole scallops aside and cut the rest into small cubes)
  • 1 medium bowl of cooked rice or some leftover rice serving 1 person. Leftover rice is the best for making fried rice
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 2 tsp of olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp of light soy sauce
  • a few dashes of white pepper
  • 2-3 tbsp of cilantro (chopped); alternatively you can use spring onions (chopped)
  • salt and black pepper for seasoning


  1. Heat the pan up with butter in medium high heat
  2. Add in garlic and stir it for one minute
  3. Add in the cube cut scallops. Sauté it for 1-2minutes
  4. Add in the Oyster sauce, sauté it all together properly
  5. Put in the cooked rice and stir them all together until mixed nicely
  6. Add in Soy Sauce, and pepper. Keep stirring
  7. Add in the cilantro stir it well for a minute
  8. Place the fried rice on a plate and put it aside
  9. Season the 3 whole scallops with salt & black pepper
  10. Take another clean pan, heat up 2 teaspoon of Olive oil in high heat. Slowly put in the scallops and sear them  for 1 1/2 minutes on each side
  11. Once cooked, put it over the fried rice and serve
